High Top Sneakers for Fall

High Top Sneakers for Fall

Sneakers are now an all year round choice of footwear, especially high tops.  Many women will opt for a basic, well made white leather trainer.  This sneaker will go with everything in your closet and will never steer you wrong and will wear out long before it would ever go out of style.  However, some people love a good throw back, retro style.  A sneaker to wear on those special occasions where a simple white Converse, Nike, Reebok or Addias won’t suffice.  It’s these occasions where you can pull out all the stops and wear a high top.  High tops provide both ankle support and a hip vibe.

High Tops pair well with jean; and a few recommendations include:

A cropped wide ankle length jean.  This will show off your new high tops and add length to your legs.

A mom jean, rolled up at the bottom, is a cool, casual way to accentuate our street style.

And finally a relaxed fit jean, is made even more comfortable with a trendy high top sneaker.

A few trends available in high tops include those that have a size zipper, a back zipper or an old school lace up sneaker.  And remember if you need to buy new laces for your high tops, they do require a longer lace at least 62” and up to 72” in length.

A few things to look for in a well made high top sneaker is Italian leather.  You want a leather that will wear well.  Next are the eyelets.  Are they loose?  Do the laces easily slide in and out?  And finally if there is a zipper access, does the zipper go up and down easily and is it sewn properly into place?

Celebrities like Kylie Jenner are embracing their inner sneaker head and wearing the season’s most coveted high tops.  This must-have silhouette is also proving that the days of wearing boring trainers are over.  Embassy London’s new high tops include bright colors, patterned leather, metallic accents and an overall flashy addition to a pair of daily black leggings.

Don’t disregard the chunky sneaker trend as it will continue to make its mark in 2024 and beyond.  As the materials for high tops continue to evolve with sustainable materials, colorful patterns and a nod to vintage basketball

Sneakers are no longer just for commuting or the gym.  You can now wear them with a dress and feel cute and comfortable.  And some new high tops are so stylish that you might even forget that you are wearing sneakers!  The Chuck Taylor Converse Platform started a trend that is giving priority to wearing a sneaker that provides sturdy support.  Other brands are following suit, with styles such as the Camila High by Embassy London.  A sneaker that will surprise you in both quality and style.

We invite you to try out the modern version of some of the most beloved retro styles that once only graced basketball courts and dance floors of the 1980s.  High Tops are back with a modern twist.  This timeless design will never go out of style and should be a staple in your shoe closet.
