Daisy Jones & The Six Ultimate Boho Shoe Style

Daisy Jones & The Six Ultimate Boho Shoe Style

The new mockumentary series Daisy Jones & The Six does a great job paying tribute to the music and fashion of the 1970s.  Based on the novel by the same name, written by Taylor Jenkins Reid, we are taken on a nostalgic journey through the use of realistic sets and costumes set to the music we all know and love, as well as some really cool modern originals such as “Stumbled on Sublime” by Wyatt Stone.  And the actors themselves have even released an original album called Aurora, that can be found on most streaming apps.  This series will definitely be impacting how we dress for the Summer of 2023, so let’s take a look at some of the new must haves for a 70s vibe outfit beginning with bell bottom jeans.  These jeans look best with a pair of platform shoes or flat sandals to complete the look and make the pants leg even more exaggerated.  In several scenes  you will see Daisy in a suede coat with a large fur trimmed collar and sleeves looking ever so much like Joni Mitchell including the long hair with bangs cut in.  This series is very keen on details and its moments like this when we realize how much effort was put into bringing this story to life.  Because it is set in Los Angeles you will see mini skirts with knee high boots topped off by crochet halter tops and accented with choker necklaces.  And for the scenes when they are more casual, characters like Camila are really rocking the loose peasant blouses with a pair of low profile sandals.  This series is a tribute to all things “boho” and definitely should be an addition to your Spring playlist for music and style inspiration.

What Is Boho

Bohemian, or Boho style is a popular trend in fashion and interior design. Originating in the 1960s and 70s, it has an eclectic flair that combines elements from various cultures and eras. Boasting free-spirited vibes, this unique aesthetic can be seen through its clothing items featuring flowing fabrics like maxi dresses and skirts, embroidered blouses with fringe details, as well as patterns ranging from paisley to tribal prints for added gauziness. On top of that are accessories such as wide-brimmed hats, layered necklaces, large earrings—all adding up to create a boho chic look! This same effortless charm also holds true for home interiors by incorporating pieces such as vintage Moroccan furniture materials like tan leather pillows against bright brass side tables on patterned rugs - totally brought together by candlelight ambience - giving one’s living space just the right amount of designerly peace and serenity.
